Guidesoft (Guiding Software) incorporates, designs and develops “Big Box” kiosk-based directional software.

Franchise Agreement

GuideSoft, Inc. signs Knowledge Development Centers (KDC) “Rentable Training Facility” franchise Agreement with Tony & Dana Wells, Columbus, OH

1996

Business Opens

GuideSoft, Inc., dba Knowledge Development Centers is open for business with first rental revenue ($6,000) from Blackbaud, Inc.

First Team Member

GuideSoft, Inc. hires the first Team Member to officially join the company.

Becoming a Leader in IT Training

GuideSoft becomes Oracle’s largest Americas training Partner and Indiana’s largest provider of IT training including Microsoft, Oracle, Lotus, SAS Institute, Sybase, Informix, Cisco and others.

Adapting Through Change and Entering Staffing

9/11 and the "dotcom bust" forced GuideSoft to quickly adapt, resulting in its First Staffing Placement and a shift away from its Training and Room Rental business to temporary staffing.

Creating dotStaff™ to Transform Staffing Efficiency

Experiencing the temporary staffing onboarding inefficiencies and pricing challenges large organizations experience, GuideSoft conceived, designed, and built dotStaff™ as a “Staffing Optimization Solution”.

Expanding into Fortune 500 Organizations

GuideSoft was awarded contracts and deployed its dotStaff solution into multiple Fortune 500 companies.

Launching dotStaff, LLC

dotStaff, LLC was formed, creating GuideSoft’s first affiliated business unit.

Shifting Focus to Serving the Public Sector

In spite of its continued Fortune 500 expansion (which included Roche, Praxair, Key Bank, Omnicare, Papa Johns, Pharmerica, Polo Ralf Lauren, Hil-Rom, and others,) GuideSoft made strategic decision to shift its focus from private sector to serving those who serve others within the public domain.

Securing the First State Government MSP/VMS Contract

GuideSoft is awarded its first state government MSP/VMS contract.

Focus shifts away from private sector to better align with a goverment foucs. Major wins in the MSP contract space.

Knowledge Services wins their first Survey Contract, marking a major achievement.

Becoming the Largest Government MSP/VMS Provider

Winning its 12th state government MSP/VMS contract, GuideSoft becomes the largest MSP/VMS provider to government.

Pursuing FedRAMP Authorization for dotStaff™

With an alarming growth in data breaches, GuideSoft made the strategic decision to pursue FedRAMP authorization of its dotStaff VMS.

Knowledge Services receives FedRAMP Ready Authorization for proprietary software, dotStaff.

Laying the Foundation for StateRAMP

GuideSoft conceives of, begins building out the StateRAMP model, secures StateRAMP domain url addresses, business cards, etc. and introduces the idea to state government leaders.

StateRAMP.org Begins

Joe Bielawski, Julie Bielawski, and JR Sloan, the State of Arizona CIO, meet in the Arizona Strategic Enterprise Technology (ASET) offices discussing StateRAMP as a Public-Private Partnership.  StateRAMP holds its first Steering Committee meeting represented by government CIOs, CISOs, CPOs, Privacy Officers, 3PAOs, and industry CSPs.  The decision was made to formerly establish StateRAMP as a government managed, 501(c)6 Not-for-Profit organization.

Investing in Our Future with Crosspoint Center

GuideSoft purchases it corporate headquarters building (Crosspoint Center) and, throughout COVID, conducts an extensive building remodeling project.

Awarded StateRAMP PMO Contract

GuideSoft is awarded the StateRAMP Program Management Office (PMO) contract.

Opening the Crosspoint Center Headquarters

GuideSoft completes its corporate headquarters remodel, christening “Crosspoint Center” as its new home.

The Vision for RAMPxchange

Enduring the FedRAMP authorization challenges, RAMPxchange, a secure, on-line cybersecurity and risk management marketplace providing both public and private sector organizations services supported access to vetted and proven suppliers was conceived and development began.

Forming Knowledge Business Services

Transitioning to a “family of businesses”, Knowledge Business Services, was formed to provide “shared services” including accounting, finance, marketing, talent management, IT and infosec, etc. to support Knowledge Services, RAMPxchange, RAMPQuest, The Club Coworking, and Crosspoint Center.

The launch of the new brand, RAMPxchange, Inc. RAMPxchange simplifies how organizations discover, evaluate, and acquire compliant cybersecurity products and services—reducing complexity, accelerating decisions, and helping organizations close critical gaps faster.

StateRAMP changes its name to GovRAMP, marking a major change to support all Government cybersecurity.
